About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Data and Automation Analyst - Deal Desk to join the Deal Desk Strategy and Programs team at Samsara. In this role, you’ll lead data initiatives, provide actionable insights, and develop scalable solutions to optimize deal outcomes and drive business growth. You will own KPI reporting, predictive modeling, and workflow automation to optimize Deal Desk capacity. You will also collaborate cross-functionally with our business partners to leverage these insights to support data-based decision making and ultimately increase deal velocity. 

This is a high-impact opportunity to shape data processes and empower the Deal Desk team with tools and insights that support long-term success. 

This role is open to candidates residing in Canada and the US except Alaska, Austin Metro, Boulder Metro, California, Chicago Metro, Connecticut, Dallas Metro, Denver Metro, Houston Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington DC Metro and Seattle Metro.

In this role, you will: 

  • Build and maintain KPI dashboards and real-time reporting tools.
  • Automate Deal Desk workflows and build tools to enhance team productivity.
  • Analyze deal trends, identify success factors, and provide data-based insights to drive deal decisioning.
  • Develop predictive models to forecast deal outcomes and assess risk.
  • Define data governance strategies for pricing and deal data.
  • Partner with Finance, Sales Operations, and Business Technology teams to align on data and automation priorities. 
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Tableau.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Prior experience designing and implementing automation solutions to streamline processes. 
  • Ability to distill critical insights from complex and unstructured data, and deliver concise, impactful insights to stakeholders. 
  • Track record of managing priorities and producing deliverables on-time with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

An ideal candidate also has:

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Databricks.
  • Experience with Python or other programming languages for analytics.

The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$79,432.50$106,800 USD
