  • Write, maintain, and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, cleanse, transform, and model data, ensuring data integrity and usability for analyses and reporting.
  • Own the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all core SaaS metrics, ensuring alignment across dashboards, reports, and business systems.
  • Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve data discrepancies, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across all analytical outputs.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced SQL skills, comfortable writing complex queries, joins, aggregations, and data transformations.
  • Deep understanding of B2B SaaS business metrics, KPIs (ARR, TCV, churn, CAC, pipeline, etc.) and data sources (Hubspot, Salesforce, Netsuite, Apollo etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with modern data stack tools such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Fivetran, or dbt.

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
