West Monroe has an immediate opportunity for a passionate and strategic communicator to join our internal communications team. This team member will play a key role in creating and executing strategic communications plans and deliverables across topics (e.g., HR, learning and development, talent management, employer brand, internal policies) in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about shaping the employee experience through clear, engaging, and impactful communications.
They will work with the internal communications team and other corporate partners to create compelling communications that support our strategy and drive understanding and engagement around key initiatives.
Specific key responsibilities include:
Overview of Role:
- Deliver timely and concise communication to employees around a variety of topics
- Help develop and, at times, independently create and execute communications strategies and plans for internal initiatives, change communications, rollouts, and operational announcements
- Support communications workstreams across the business
- Contribute to creation of innovative, attention-getting campaigns that drive awareness around internal initiatives and firmwide changes across a range of channels
- Assist with team administration, including tracking communications data, building reporting dashboards, and analyzing data to assess communications effectiveness and best practices
Key Expectations:
- Coordinate needs across topics and support execution of internal comms strategies that support business objectives and enhance employee engagement
- Regularly draft internal messages and ghostwrite for leaders and other teams
- Help create a variety of deliverables including internal memos, key messages and talking points, FAQs, PowerPoint decks, newsletters, infographics, video storyboards and scripts, and signage for in-office TVs
- Manage and update internal communications channels including employee intranet
- Develop an understanding of our business and employee base, and the ability to target specific audiences with messages that spark them to action
- Work collaboratively across teams and help to manage projects/coordinate communications efforts across initiatives
- Actively participate in team brainstorms, bringing creative ideas for engaging and impactful communications that leverage existing channels in new and imaginative ways
Required Skills
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a corporate communications role, ideally in a professional services environment
- Demonstrated commitment to contributing to a working and learning environment that is inclusive to all
- Ability to work autonomously, partner with a variety of internal stakeholders, and manage time effectively
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor writing style to reflect the nature of the stakeholder, audience, and message
- Strong project management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; manage multiple projects at once; be nimble and adaptable to change; and execute programs with speed, accuracy, and efficiency
Preferred Skills
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent years of experience
- Outstanding influencing and interpersonal skills and a track record of working effectively and building strong relationships within an organization
- Experience with current web practices, supporting technologies, new media
- Proven ability to create high-quality PowerPoint slides and effectively organize data/information visually
- Experience with digital tools such as Airtable, SharePoint, Axios HQ, Canva, PlayPlay, and Camtasia a plus but not required.
Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Information on our competitive total rewards package, including our bonus structure and benefits is here. Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Eligibility for ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available upon hire date.
