As the Senior Content Marketing Manager you will lead the planning, execution, and optimization of content that drives engagement across the entire prospect lifecycle.

This highly collaborative role sits at the intersection of brand, demand generation, SEO, and product marketing. You will be responsible for developing and executing our content strategy, aligning messaging across all channels, managing our content calendar aligned with the K-12 education sales cycle, creating and overseeing engaging written and video content, optimizing our organic digital presence for search engines, and driving measurable impact on awareness, engagement, and adoption. 

You will have a strong background in content creation, SEO best practices, leveraging AI for content generation and optimization, and experience with web and analytics platforms, including SEMRush, GA4, Looker, Clarity, and WordPress. 

The impact you'll have:

Content Strategy & Development

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy aligned with the K-12 education sales cycle and school year calendar
  • Collaborate with product marketing, brand, and demand generation to align content efforts across all digital channels and a range of audiences, ensuring a consistent voice and brand tone
  • Optimize content based on weekly and monthly SEO and lead generation reporting
  • Develop and maintain content guidelines, including best practices and knowledge hubs for AI-powered content creation (e.g., ChatGPT or Claude.ai)
  • Contribute to video content development, including scripting and coordination with creative resources
  • Collaborate with sales, product, and customer success teams to identify content needs and opportunities
  • Support customer retention and advocacy efforts through tailored messaging and lifecycle content
  • Serve as a key content consultant and editor for internal stakeholders to ensure messaging consistency and clarity

SEO & Digital Optimization

  • Build and execute a scalable SEO strategy, including keyword research, content optimization, and performance reporting
  • Use tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Google Analytics (GA4) to improve content visibility and technical SEO health
  • Collaborate with Marketing Operations and developers to enhance performance, monitor bounce and conversion rates, and implement site updates via WordPress
  • Leverage insights from HubSpot, GA4, Clarity, and Looker to inform content development, target refinement, and audience engagement strategies

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment
  • Strong portfolio of written and/or multimedia content across various stages of the customer journey
  • Deep understanding of SEO strategy, keyword planning, and performance metrics
  • Proficiency with SEMrush, Ahrefs, GA4, WordPress, HubSpot, Clarity, ChatGPT, and Looker
  • Editorial sensibility and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Strong project management skills and comfort leading cross-functional content initiatives

A plus if you have:

  • Experience creating content for the K-12 or education technology market
  • Familiarity with video scripting, editing, and/or light production work
  • Social media content creation or community management experience
  • Exposure to customer marketing or lifecycle marketing programs

U.S. Pay Range

$90,000$110,000 USD

Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate, and is provided pursuant to Equal Pay Laws. SchoolStatus intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, such as experience. Our team will provide more information about the total compensation package for this position during the interview process.
