By 2026, we will be delivering 2 million simulations per year. 

Position Overview: As a senior business/quality assurance analyst at Mursion, you will be responsible for evaluating and testing new, existing, or modified application software to verify programs function according to user requirements, established standards, and guidelines. You will write, revise, and verify quality standards and test procedures to attain quality of software efficiency and functionality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet business objectives. We are looking for somebody that's going to draft manual test cases and execute manual test cases and do it at a high degree of quality in a very complex software system. The compensation range for this role is between $100,000 and $130,000 depending on experience. 


Responsibilities:

  • Understanding and confirming product requirements, and creating and documenting tests based upon them
  • Manually executing functional, regression, and smoke tests during integration and system test phases
  • Documenting test results and effectively communicating them to the team
  • Ensuring thorough testing and doing your part to ensure project goals are met
  • Reporting issues in defect tracking system
  • Participating in internal defect triage discussions, ensuring successful resolution of found defects
  • Updating test plans to reflect changes in requirements
  • Achieving in-depth functional knowledge of the software system and how customers utilize our software
  • Drafting release notes and sharing with the team
  • Adapting to team processes and integrating them into day to day work as needed
  • Putting best practices to work to improve our quality
  • Define test case priorities and criteria, ensuring a focus on critical functionalities and high-impact areas
  • Communicate identified risks during testing to help drive well-informed release decisions.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven experience testing browser-based software applications
  • Deep experience with drafting manual test cases and executing manual test cases
  • Knowledge of testing and quality assurance methodologies
  • Great understanding of the Defect Life Cycle
  • Ability to execute test cases in latest desktop, tablet and mobile devices on latest browsers
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with varied and diverse audiences
  • Experience with JIRA and TestRail desired
  • Proven success working as a member of a fast-paced software development team
  • Experience in the full software development life cycle from design to deployment
  • Motivation - you’re a natural self-starter and proactive.  You are capable of jumping in with minimal instruction and figuring out what should be done
  • An agile mindset - you are flexible in your approach and able to pivot when necessary
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities, keep to tasks and deadlines, and be organized
  • Experience with test automation and accessibility testing
