We’re looking for an experienced Senior AWS Cloud System Operations Administrator to support our customers and join our passionate team of high-impact problem solvers.

About the role:

As a Senior AWS Cloud System Operations Administrator, you have strong experience in supporting development and test teams in AWS cloud environments. You will be responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, developing procedures, developing functional architectures, and other related management and technical duties.

What we are looking for:

• 10 years of relevant hands-on experience
• Demonstrated experience in system administration and supporting development and test teams in AWS environments
• Applied understanding of Kubernetes and traditional RHEL servers
• Proficiency in AWS tools such as: Kubernetes, EKS, Diode, Lambda etc. orchestrated/deployed in a cloud environment
• Extensive IT systems administrative experience with both Microsoft and Linux platforms
• Proficient understanding of maintenance (patching, STIG, and upgrade processes) on AWS cloud infrastructure
• Experience deploying, managing, and operating workloads on AWS as well as implementing security controls and compliance requirements
• Familiarity with using both the AWS Management Console and the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI)
• Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework as well as AWS networking and security services
• Working experience in system administration support and management related to Amazon EKS
• Active IAT level II certification (Security+ preferred)
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (A master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience)

Highly preferred:

• 2 or more of the following trainings or certifications:
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner (Foundational)
  • AWS SysOps Administrator (Associate)
  • Operating a Production Kubernetes Cluster
  • Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA)
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
  • RH294: RHEL Linux Automation with Ansible

Clearance Requirements:

• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance

Work Type: 

• San Antonio, TX
• May require up to 20% travel

Salary Range:

• $125,000 - $145,000 
• The determination of compensation is predicated upon a candidate's comprehensive experience, demonstrated skill, and proven abilities
