Senior Analyst, Operations Finance - Remote (Must be based in Indiana or Connecticut)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in month-end close, and will provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to drive business performance. This position involves advanced financial modeling, analysis, and forecasting to support senior management in decision-making processes.

What You Will Do:

• Financial Analysis & Reporting:
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations in support of month-end close.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business operations.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support forecasting activities.
  • Collaborate with department heads to gather inputs and validate assumptions for budget and forecast preparation.
• Strategic Planning:
  • Provide insights and recommendations on financial planning and strategic initiatives.
  • Evaluate financial implications of new projects, investments, and business opportunities.
  • Support long-term strategic planning efforts with robust financial analysis.
• Performance Monitoring:
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business performance.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to improve financial outcomes.
• Business Partnering:
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support.
  • Communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or CPA designation is a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, preferably within a corporate environment.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, including advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft D365, Blackline, Hyperion) is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
• High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
