Job Description
As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Cybersecurity and Technology Controls, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

If you see something that needs updated or fixed, do it. We work in an agile environment and expect work to be fully documented and planned across 2 week sprints.
Job responsibilities

  • Executes security solutions design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to apply knowledge of existing security solutions to satisfy security requirements for internal clients (e.g., product, platform, application owners)
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
  • Working in an Agile environment and contributing to all scrum ceremonies
  • Refine requirements, Design and analyze solutions
  • Leads delivery of continuity-related awareness, training, educational activities, and exercises
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts at 2+ years of applied experience
  • Experience developing security engineering solutions
  • Experience implementing and deploying low-code platofms
  • Proficient in coding in one of more languages (preferably Python)
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
  • Willingness to learn and help others on the team
  • Documenting code and processes


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Hands on coding experience in REST API and GraphQL
  • Hands on development experience with BI technologies (e.g., Tableau)
