The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Description
Liberty Mutual Distribution Technology is looking for a Scrum Master to join our Sales and Agency Support Portfolio team. In this role you will play a critical role in helping teams deliver solutions that help Liberty Mutual help our customers embrace today while confidently pursuing tomorrow. The Scrum Master acts as the delivery lead for the portfolio guiding the coordination, synchronization and alignment of a "team of teams" needed to deliver value. Additionally, the Scrum Master advises Portfolio Leadership on value stream efficiency and effectiveness ensuring alignment to Strategic Goals.

  • Work with team leadership to identify risks and mitigate dependencies, risks, blockers, and impediments that may affect the "team of teams" progress and ability to deliver value
  • Aggregate product team objectives and progress to ensure visibility and transparency
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among teams and stakeholders at portfolio level events to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities
  • Use assessment models and indicators to gauge the health and effectiveness of the team of teams.
  • Drive the usage of data and metrics to measure and optimize the effectiveness of both product delivery and engineering excellence
  • Guides continuous improvement efforts to enhance delivery and effectiveness of the team of teams
  • Provides coaching and consulting to Portfolio and Product Team leaders on good practices to accelerate maturity and remove organizational barriers to agility


Qualifications

  • Displays strong communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills.
  • Advanced presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline and at least eight, typically ten or more years related experience as a project team member, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives.
