The Impact of  the Business Applications Scrum Master to Coupa:

 

The Business Applications Scrum Master is responsible for leading and facilitating an Agile development team that builds, enhances and maintains our internal business systems (Salesforce, NetSuite, Coupa, etc.).  This role requires a deep understanding of Scrum methodologies, Agile principles, and the ability to guide the team in delivering high-quality software solutions. The Scrum Master will foster a collaborative environment, remove impediments, and ensure the team adheres to Agile best practice. 

 

They will serve as a servant leader, ensuring that Agile principles and Scrum methodologies are followed to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs.  By effectively guiding the team and ensuring adherence to Agile principles, the Scrum Master will contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality applications and will play a crucial role in enabling faster time-to-value and higher quality solutions for our business users.

What You'll Do:

  • Act as a coach and mentor to the team on Agile principles, values, and practices, helping them continuously improve their processes
  • Serve as the Scrum Master for the business applications team, responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure adherence to Scrum practices and principles
  • Identify and remove obstacles that hinder the team's progress, working with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Foster collaboration and communication within the business applications team, promoting self-organization and cross-functional teamwork. Encourage team members to share knowledge, ideas, and best practices
  • Support the Product Owner in refining and prioritizing the product backlog
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the team, Product Owner, and stakeholders
  • Track and report Agile metrics, such as velocity, burn-down charts, and team capacity, to provide visibility into the team's progress and performance. Use these metrics to identify trends and make data-driven decisions
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging experimentation and learning
  • Possess a basic understanding of Salesforce and NetSuite platforms to effectively support the team
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Agile trends and best practices, identifying opportunities for growth and enhancements

What You Will Bring to Coupa:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a scrum master for Agile teams
  • 1+ years of experience as a scrum master for a business applications team (Salesforce and NetSuite preferred)
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Agile principles
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Scrum methodologies
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and motivate team members
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead meetings and workshops
  • Ability to identify and resolve conflicts and impediments that may arise within the team
  • Experience with Agile project management tools, particularly the Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM)

The estimated pay range for this role is as follows:


•Based in Bay Area, California: $92,225 - $108,500

•Based in California: $87,975 - $103,500

•Based in Colorado: $78,200 - $92,000

•Based in New Jersey: $87,975 - $103,500

•Based in New York: $87,975 - $103,500

•Based in Washington: $81,175 - $95,500


The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
