MasteryPrep, a leading and rapidly expanding education services company, is seeking vibrant and passionate On-Screen Talent to breathe life into our test preparation lessons.
This opportunity is a part-time 1099 contractor engagement, anticipated to require flexible hours, adjusted based on video assignment lengths. Most assignments take 1-2 hours to complete. As an On-Screen Talent contractor, your dynamic presence will engage students in our online learning platform and enhance their study experience with lively, personable instruction.
As a On-Screen Talent Actor you will:
- Review provided scripts for comprehension and strategize on emphasis points, tone variation, and effective use of body language and facial expressions.
- Record yourself as a virtual "instructor" across a range of 30-80 videos per assignment, varying from quick 2-second snippets to more detailed 30-second segments, bringing a consistent on-screen presence to each.
- Evaluate recorded videos for quality, ensuring they meet our high standards before submission.
- Upload your completed videos to the designated online storage folder.
- Re-record any videos with verbal mistakes or other audio or visual errors to maintain a smooth and engaging instructional experience.
- Attend paid training sessions to familiarize yourself with our quality expectations and standards for all assignments.

- On-Screen Acting experience prioritized
- A demonstrated proficiency in public speaking, with a unique ability to connect with an audience through the lens of a camera
- Current ownership or a willingness to purchase a quality microphone, webcam, and ring light(s)
- Proven ability to adhere to strict deadlines and deliver high-quality work in a timely manner, typically within a one-week turnaround
- Familiarity using and access to the following: a stable internet connection, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Gmail, Dropbox, compatibility with Zoom video conferencing and Slack messaging.
Compensation
All contractors will be paid by assignment and only upon completion. Most assignments will pay between $60 and $100 for the completion of a group of videos and depend on the size of the assignment. Typically, expect to spend 1-2 hours per assignment. Smaller assignments will pay less and pay will be determined at the time of the assignment.
