The Opportunity

InCharge Energy is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Operations Specialist to play a key role within our dynamic sales team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate sales order processing, supporting revenue-generating activities, and driving operational efficiency through data integrity and process optimization.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands the mindset of a salesperson but thrives in a back-end operational role — someone who enjoys solving problems, streamlining processes, and maintaining high-quality data to enable business growth. The ideal candidate will bring experience in Salesforce, strong Excel skills, and a passion for building smooth, scalable workflows in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

This position reports to the Sales Operations Manager and will operate remotely, aligned to East Coast business hours.

What You'll Do

You’ll take a hands-on role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our sales team, including:

Sales Operations & Process Management

  • Own key components of the sales order processing workflow, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures from quote to close
  • Assist with the creation and submission of quotes and proposals on behalf of the Sales Team
  • Support the Sales Team in troubleshooting and resolving operational roadblocks to enable a smooth customer experience

Data Integrity & Reporting

  • Perform regular data entry, order revisions, and updates within Salesforce
  • Analyze and expedite data requests to support business reporting and operational visibility
  • Conduct ongoing data audits to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across sales information

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams — including Sales, Accounting, and Project Management — to ensure clean handoffs, accurate billing information, and a seamless order process
  • Maintain open and proactive communication with Sales Representatives to understand needs, support their workflows, and offer process improvements
  • Build trusted relationships across teams to support pre-sale and post-sale activities

Process Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of sales processes, best practices, and standard operating procedures
  • Identify opportunities to streamline tasks and improve operational efficiency in support of a growing business

Your Experience and Capabilities

  • 1–2 years of experience using Salesforce (or a similar CRM) specifically to support sales operations — including data entry, quote creation, order processing, and reporting
  • Familiarity with maintaining accurate customer records, updating sales pipelines, and supporting end-to-end sales processes within a CRM platform
  • 1–2 years of experience analyzing sales data, generating reports, or managing KPIs to support a sales or operations team
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and organizing large data sets for reporting or operational tracking
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and cleanliness across systems
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple requests and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills — able to clarify requirements, ask the right questions, and ensure alignment with Sales and internal teams
  • Comfortable documenting processes and continuously identifying ways to improve efficiency
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams in a remote work setting
