THE ROLE


OLIPOP is searching for an RGM and Commercial Planning Manager to join our team.  This role drives sales growth by optimizing our trade promotion/pricing strategy.  It starts with helping lead the creation, planning and execution of the long and short-term commercial strategy and tactics of the business.  The role helps ensure alignment between commercial strategies and business objectives across all functional groups.  It requires the utilization of data and analytical tools/processes to evaluate performance, identify insights, and recommend actions/solutions.  It supports key commercial planning routines and collaborative strategic projects across the business including sales planning/forecasting, FP&A, and demand planning.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Analyze macro level datasets on market trends, competitive landscape for strategy, and long range planning innovation
  • Pull data from syndicated sources to perform promotional analysis and develop pricing/promotional strategies across all key retailers. 
  • Create and maintain models to optimize price, package, and assortment across channels
  • Assist the key account teams in maintaining forecast accuracy through velocity, promotional strategy, merchandising and assortment shifts across our channels of business
  • Work closely with FP&A & Demand Planning functions of the business for annual and long term forecasting and planning
  • Aid in the creation, implementation, and KPI tracking of various commercial growth levers & opportunities across the business
  • Help create top-line and net revenue targets for key accounts.
  • Collaborate with the key account leads to identify areas of opportunities for new commercial levers & how to close the gaps on existing opportunities
  • Be a resource for budgeting and forecasting with the National Key Accounts Team as we drive flawless execution of trade spend initiatives across the business
  • Work with the sales team to proactively understand challenges, identify opportunities and optimize product and pricing strategies.
  • Work with marketing and consumer insights teams to ensure category and brand positioning are integrated into recommendations/action plans.
  • Have a deep understanding of how price & promotions impact the total business while being able to align commercial strategy with financial goals as OLIPOP continues to rapidly grow


QUALIFICATIONS


  • 6-8 years of experience within RGM, Finance, Analytics, or Commercial Planning roles.
  • Experience coming from a fast growth company/category is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience working with SPINS, Nielsen and other syndicated data platforms to provide insights
  • Obsession for understanding customer behavior. Lives, breathes, and dreams about how to better reach & understand our consumers.
  • Enthusiastic and comfortable working in an early stage company. Ability to think rapidly in a growing and changing environment.
  • Ability to take initiative and work autonomously – you can run with something from beginning to end.
  • Works well with ambiguity and asks the right questions to get at the solution.
  • Strong planning, organization and project management skills, along with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills. 
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite. Experience with team collaboration tools such as Slack and Zoom preferred.


REPORTS TO: Director, Business Insights and Commercial Planning

COMPENSATION: $100-115K Base Salary + Bonus
