As a Revenue Cycle Analyst, you will execute audits and conduct reimbursement research for a regional portfolio of client engagements. Together with your team of 2-4 analysts, you will drive revenue capture for Medicare and Medicare-like payers across a wide range of clinical services. To thrive you must have strong interest in, or experience within, hospital billing, resolution, and revenue cycle management.

  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review outpatient hospital facility, clinic, and physician documentation, including, but not limited to medical records, UB-04s, EOBs, itemized bills, and remittance advices to determine appropriate code assignments for services provided (CPT/HCPCS codes).
  • Maintain proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding, including the use of appropriate modifiers and revenue codes and knowledge/application of NCCI edits for CPT/HCPCS.
  • Navigate hospital EMR and billing systems to conduct patient-specific clinical documentation research and validate hospital reporting; 
  • Build and maintain expertise in Medicare and Managed Care billing, coding, and reimbursement policies;
  • Support algorithm research, development, and maintenance for the purpose of processing hospital data to uncover medical reporting inaccuracies that lead to underpayments; 
  • Mine, research, and identify treatment patterns to identify predictive indicators of care; 
  • Interact effectively with consulting teams to perform reviews, provide recommendations, and communicate project results for R1/Cloudmed’s clients; 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or HS diploma with 2+ years experience in hospital billing, resolution, revenue cycle and/or related data analytics (i.e., medical assistant, billing and coding, healthcare technician, biology/health science major)
  • Organized self-starter with strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including proficiency with Excel
  • Strong communicator
  • Proficient with computers and technology

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $43,888.00 - $70,631.44 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 5.00%
