About the Team

Zoom AI Companion is revolutionizing workspace productivity in the era of generative AI. The AI Companion Core team develops foundational AI technologies that enable transformative AI experiences across Zoom's products, including smart meetings, documents, chat, email, and calendar. This shared technology stack also powers Zoom Virtual Agent for contact centers, Zoom Revenue Accelerator, and Customized AI Studio. Comprised of elite research scientists and engineers, the team is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technologies to our users.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to research on Federated AI, post-training technologies, multimodal understanding for document summarization and question-answering, Multi-agent System, and Customized AI modeling. 

• Incubating game-changing AI applications which will create huge potential business impact.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve unique product problems. 

• Receiving mentorship and providing insights to drive innovation with experienced researchers and team members.

• Post-training and fine-tuning LLMs to improve model accuracy, efficiency, and user experience.

What we’re looking for

• Possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Distributed Systems or related field; PhD is preferred.

• Have publications in top tier conferences, i.e., ICLR, CVPR, ACL etc

• Be proficient in one of the programming languages: Python/C/C++/CUDA, and deep learning frameworks, such as PyTorch, Transformers and Deepspeed

• Experience in novel LLM post-training technologies; i.e. RLHF, reward modeling, preference learning.

• Experience with multimodal generation and presentation (i.e. for summarization, photorealistic avatars, etc.)

• Have knowledge in Multi-agent System (MAS)

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$127,700.00

Maximum:

$255,400.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.
