Project Manager, Data Engineering (Databricks)

We are seeking a Manager in our Data & Analytics team to join our Technology & Experience Practice and lead enterprise client projects through the full lifecycle – from strategy, concept, and architecture, through to delivery and implementation. We are looking for a passionate technologist with keen business acumen and experience managing diverse teams in the successful planning, design, and deployment of data solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead client projects and manage consulting teams in the delivery of data solutions with the goal of improving technical operations and business performance
- Interface directly with client personnel and executive stakeholders to understand project objectives, gather requirements, and lead solution design discussions
- Make key engagement decisions, including budgeting, risk management, resource management, vendor selection, workstream delegation, and project methodology
- Act as client POC and present updates on deliverables, communicate engagement status, and ensure projects align with their transformation and business goals
- Contribute to practice development; mentor junior consultants on PM best practices, stay abreast of industry trends, and develop reusable methodology
- Assist with or lead SOW and business development efforts
- Organize project work into client presentations, outlining findings and recommendations for C-level executives.
- Contribute to practice development by developing and improving reusable methodologies and data solutions for client engagements.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Data & Analytics in a professional services/consulting firm
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including data modelling, ETL processes, data governance, data quality, privacy and security controls
- Extensive experience in leading large enterprise data projects
- Strong communication and project leadership skills with comfortability managing cross-functional teams in dynamic, enterprise IT environments
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts for business leadership
- Willingness to travel to client sites up to 50%
- Hybrid work environment – 2x/week in office
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Information on our competitive total rewards package, including our bonus structure and benefits is here. Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use after successful completion of one year of employment.
