Tempus is seeking a New Hire Training Program Manager to join our Learning and Development (L&D) team. This position will report to the Director of Commercial Learning and Development and will oversee the onboarding and training of new hires within the sales team. This role is crucial in developing a comprehensive understanding of Tempus' products, services, and the underlying AI technology that powers our solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales training, a passion for education, and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of our structured onboarding program for sales team members, ensuring a thorough understanding of Tempus' ecosystem and its product and service offerings.
  • Facilitate engaging training sessions, leveraging various modalities such as live, virtual, and e-learning platforms.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create relevant and up-to-date training materials.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing support and mentorship to new hires, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Liaise with the Field Sales Training team to ensure an effective transition from new hire training to field mentoring.
  • Maintain documentation of training activities and track the progress of each new hire.
  • Communicate new hires’ progress and feedback to managers, keeping sales leadership informed.
  • Make arrangements including scheduling, location reservation and onsite details for all phases of new hire training.
  • Stay informed about the latest sales techniques and industry trends to keep the training program current and effective.
  • Participate in planning and execution of the business unit track at the annual national sales meeting and any other area or regional meetings requiring L&D support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, Biology, Science, or other related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales training, medical sales or a related role, with a proven track record of successful training program development and execution.
  • Familiarity with Tempus' mission, oncology diagnostics and the healthcare technology landscape.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire new team members.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems and training software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to facilitate training sessions up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sales training experience in the medical field, preferably oncology lab diagnostics
  • Instructional design and/or formal project management background or certifications.
  • Experience building content in learning management and sales enablement platforms.
  • Experience with sales operations tools such as Salesforce, Looker, or Tableau.

The expected salary range below is applicable if the role is performed from [Illinois] and may vary for other locations. Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience. Tempus offers a full range of benefits, which may include incentive compensation, restricted stock units, medical and other benefits, depending on the position.

$100,000$140,000 USD
