    Job Description

    The Opportunity:

    AECOM is seeking a Program Management Senior Director to support the delivery of High-Speed Rail programs. The program(s) could entail the design and construction of HSR system(s) that connect major urban cities throughout North America. 

    As a Program Management Senior Director at AECOM, you will have the opportunity to deliver these world-class programs that creates positive social and environmental outcomes, leading complex, multidisciplinary teams across diverse sectors and working with key clients and stakeholders to achieve their goals.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage program that is mega in size, which has high risk-reward, has a very high level of execution complexity and is of high significant strategic value.
    • Provide the AECOM and the agency organization with highly experienced technical leadership and strategic direction for program delivery.
    • Advocate for ethical and safe working practices.
    • Drive innovation in program management approaches and methodology to achieve marketplace differentiation.
    • Identify areas of high risk and pro-actively take action to positively impact program outcomes.
    • Contribute to the learning and people development strategy for program management, including identification of talent and development of resourcing plans for key aspects of the program.
    • Assess long-term and disruptive trends in transportation infrastructure, proactively addressing emerging challenges and opportunities associated with the program.
    • Propose skill development approaches and workforce planning to deliver capabilities for the successful execution of the program.
    • Actively lead and support the attraction and retention of top-tier talent within program management.
    • Accountable for overall financial success and delivery of AECOM Program Management agreement.
    • Collaborate with AEOCM’s global transit/rail planning and engineering resources and our digital AECOM team and tools.
    • Coordinate with AECOM’s multidisciplinary planning and engineering practices.
    • Manage subconsultant resources associated with the program.
    • Provide overall oversight to program’s scope/schedule/budget adherence for key tasks and program assignments. 

      Qualifications

      Minimum Requirement:

      • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) + EXTENSIVE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 6 years of leadership.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • 20 years of professional experience with a minimum of 15 years in a leadership role focused on major and/or mega-capital infrastructure programs including for rail and HSR (High Speed Rail)
      • Track record of driving high performance, achieving complex strategic objectives, and leading large organizations in the realm of capital infrastructure projects positions you as a leader in the field.
      • Ideally degree qualified (BA/BS or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as architecture, engineering, or project management, although applications with relevant diplomas and a suitable level of professional experience may also be considered.
      • Ability to navigate complexity and drive innovation in program management practices for mega-capital projects sets you apart as a trailblazer in the infrastructure industry.
      • Industry recognition and substantial network knowledge to demonstrate your influence and impact in the world of capital infrastructure project management.
      • Experience and ability to fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture specific to capital projects that empower your colleagues to excel and thrive.
      • PE, PMI-PgMP, APM-RPP or CMAA-CCM Certification (or equivalent) preferred but not essential.
      • Familiarity with development of HSR and/or passenger rail alignments and tracks, facilities, and system design.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software.

      • AECOM is interest in every qualified candidate eligible to work in the United States. Permanent residency sponsorship is available for current H1-B visa holders in the United States. 
      • Offered rate of compensation (Seattle, WA & WA. Regional.) area only will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $180,000 to $300,000.
