About Ridwell

Ridwell is a service that inspires people to create a future without waste. Today, we make it easy to reuse and recycle more by identifying recyclable and reusable items that the city doesn't collect, picking them up from our customers' doorsteps, and matching them with local partners that can use them sustainably. Our future plans go much further and include making zero waste a reality for millions.

As a B Corps-certified company, sustainability isn't just a company value—it's a fundamental part of our purpose and interests. Our mission is to empower communities to waste less, and every success our team celebrates means more waste saved from the landfill and more valuable donations in the hands of local non-profits.

About the role

The Program Coordinator at Ridwell is essential to expanding and improving Ridwell Express, our innovative new recycling service. You will drive growth by organizing and implementing community events, partnerships, and outreach initiatives, and play a vital role in promoting this service.

In this role, you’ll coordinate events that educate and excite customers about Ridwell Express, from local collection drives to brand activations. You’ll manage logistics, collaborate with internal teams, and ensure every event runs smoothly. Additionally, you’ll track program success, optimize processes, and help scale our impact in key markets.

Each day will bring new challenges and competing priorities, so flexibility, problem-solving, and attention to detail with a high sense of urgency will be valued. You’ll collaborate closely with teams across Operations, Member Services, Finance, Engineering, and Marketing, as well as external partners to keep everything running smoothly. If you’re a detail-oriented, adaptable team player excited to help build and refine a growing business, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute program initiatives, including events, workshops, and community engagements.
  • Organize and manage logistics for events, including venue selection, vendor coordination, budgeting, and on-site execution.
  • Develop detailed event timelines, ensuring seamless coordination of all moving parts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams, partners, and stakeholders involved in program events.
  • Track program and event performance using key metrics, providing post-event analysis and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist teams across the company with various projects supporting growth of the Ridwell Express recycling service. This could include analyzing customer feedback to identify service improvements, coordinating logistics for new market launches, supporting partnerships with local businesses, and assisting with operational processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Support day-to-day operations across fulfillment, logistics, and customer experience to ensure a seamless service.
  • Assist in marketing initiatives such as campaign execution, customer communications, and event planning. This includes creating and scheduling email campaigns (Iterable), designing assets (Canva, Figma), coordinating social media content, supporting direct mail, and organizing events.
  • Contribute to the Ridwell team’s collective effort to keep waste out of landfills by making recycling and reusing easy for our members.

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of experience with a track record of increasing responsibility in operations, marketing, customer success, project coordination, or a related area.
  • Self-starter with a scrappy, resourceful mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet in fast-paced environments.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and moving parts.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a “roll-up-your-sleeves” approach to teamwork.
  • Curious and eager to learn—willing to dive into new challenges, from event logistics to data tracking.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data tracking, performance analysis, and operational reporting.
