Job Description
About the Role:
The Product Manager leads a product initiative within Takeda, setting a unified strategic vision and ensuring alignment between goals and product development. Responsible for defining the product roadmap, guiding go-to-market strategy, and ensuring product delivery meets customer needs and business demands across the GMS/GQ network. The Product Manager also mentors Senior Product Owners, ensuring day-to-day delivery aligns with the long-term strategic vision
How You Will Contribute:
Customer Relationship Management

  • Product Engagement: Communicate product alignment with business priorities to drive engagement across business and DD&T.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Address critical needs with GMS/GQ stakeholders, aligning with tech and data strategies.
  • Onboarding & Support: Onboard customers to products, ensuring ongoing support for adoption and retention.


Product Strategy & Delivery

  • Roadmap & Vision: Develop a product roadmap based on market trends and strategic goals, guiding product teams in defining requirements.
  • Value Generation & Financial Performance: Drive product improvements to increase operating profit and ROI, monitoring cost-effectiveness. Ensure GxP compliance and correct validation to fulfil regulatory requirements.
  • Feature Prioritization & MVP: Define and prioritize features, scope MVP within resource limits, ensuring iterative growth.
  • Value Generation & Financial Performance: Drive product improvements to increase operating profit and ROI, monitoring cost-effectiveness.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Use feedback and analytics for product refinement, identifying growth opportunities.


Monitoring & Reporting

  • Backlog & Requirements: Build and prioritize backlog aligned with business goals, refining based on feedback.
  • Cross-Team Coordination: Collaborate with teams on timelines, dependencies, and requirements.
  • Data-Driven Tracking: Track success using OKRs and analytics, making data-informed adjustments.
  • Readiness & Risk Management: Ensure product launch readiness and manage risks.


Product Management Leadership

  • Strategic Vision & ART Accountability: Own the product vision and strategy, balancing Agile goals with long-term objectives. Ensure alignment of product backlogs, roadmaps, and feature definitions.
  • Alignment with Business Objectives: Drive alignment between product strategy and organizational goals, advocating for the product at the executive level.
  • Compliance & Financial Oversight: Ensure product development meets organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and financial goals.
  • Talent Development & Team Leadership: Attract, develop, and retain talent, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Agile Event Participation & Commitment Delivery: Lead key Agile events, ensuring teams meet commitments and deliver quality increments.


What You Bring to Takeda:
Educational & Professional Experience

  • Degree: Bachelor's or Master's in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Technical/Natural Science) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in Digital, Data, and Technology, with a proven record of managing strategic product development from MVP to market scale.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience working in regulated sectors (e.g., pharmaceutical, healthcare) to ensure compliance.


Strategic & Financial Proficiency

  • Product Vision & Strategy: Defines the product's strategic vision and roadmap, aligning priorities with long-term business objectives.
  • Financial Oversight: Manages the product's financial performance, budgeting, and ROI assessment.
  • Advanced Analytics & Metrics: Leverages data insights and KPIs to inform product decisions and financial impact.


Cross-Functional Influence

  • Leadership Across Departments: Builds relationships across finance, marketing, and operations, aligning products with corporate goals.
  • Executive Stakeholder Engagement: Advocates for the product vision at the executive level, influencing high-level decision-making.
