What the Role Is

The Babylist Commerce team brings to life our strategy around transactional e-commerce – ensuring that every customer has a great buying experience.  This includes ownership of Babylist’s first-party ecommerce experience, the Babylist Shop.  And also means driving strategic work on ensuring that customers are taking advantage of the best offers (price, availability, and ship speed) for the items on their registry, whether through the Babylist Shop or our 3rd party partners.  You’ll be a key member of the team with ownership for the Babylist Shop, with directly impact on company revenue, and managing relationships with key partner teams including Merchandising, Customer Support, Supply Chain, and Catalog Data.  On a daily basis, you will push to elevate our existing Shop e-commerce experience, and also develop compelling new opportunities to serve new parents and gift givers. Your work ensures that registrants ultimately get what they need for their growing family, and you will have the opportunity to positively impact millions of growing families and gift givers during these important life milestones.

The ideal Product Manager has a track record of creating compelling consumer experiences, showing strong ownership of product thinking and execution to drive outsized business impact.  They understand the basics of ecommerce and also show an ability to innovate beyond existing patterns.  They are a person who is passionate about improving lives through the products they build.  This role requires ownership in every stage of the product development lifecycle: ideation, planning, execution, roll out, stakeholder management, and performance analysis. 

This role reports to a Staff Product Manager on the Commerce team and will work closely with a dedicated team of engineers, designers, and data analysts.

Who You Are

  • 7+ years professional experience with 3+ years experience in product development
  • Experience with ecommerce sites and apps, familiarity with common transactional patterns and practices
  • Able to both think big and act small, balancing creative thinking with tactical execution
  • Deeply rooted in understanding the customer
  • Familiar with contemporary consumer apps and products
  • Comfortable with analytics and business intelligence tools
  • Communicates clearly and concisely
  • Bonus skills: experience with marketplaces and registries, experience with Shopify, experience with Shape Up product development methodology

  • Bring compelling new experiences to life that better integrate the Babylist registry and shop experiences, provide new ways for users to access great products and deals, and lift conversion across all Babylist experiences.
  • Lead the full product management cycle for your roadmap: Discovery, Validation, Development, Launch and Measure/Iterate.

Babylist takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.

The estimated pay range for this role is $117,860.00 - $176,790.00

In addition, Babylist offers equity, bonus, and benefits, including company paid health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
