We’re Changing the Rentals Industry

We’re a profitable, growth-stage company building industry-leading martech and data products for the rentals industry. While originally known for building and operating one of the U.S.’s largest rental marketplaces - Rentable, our focus has shifted to our category-leading AI and data SaaS products with triple-digit growth rates.

We’re a fully remote team of 100+ spread across the U.S. from coast to coast. We operate on a strict no a**holes policy and are proud to have built a community of highly performing people that take our work seriously, but not ourselves.

While we’ve raised $30MM+ to date from some of the world’s best investors, we’re profitable with a strong balance sheet and an indefinite runway. We pride ourselves on achieving rapid growth without having to incinerate capital.

If you like the idea of joining an industry-changing company made up of people who genuinely like each other, Rentable could be a great fit for you.

The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on and seasoned Product Designer to contribute to our successful and rapidly growing product portfolio across our Marketing Automation and Competitive Intelligence products. Rentable’s flagship Marketing Automation product is the industry’s leading source of daily, 100% automated, AI content generation for multifamily marketers to manage and optimize Google Business Profiles. ApartmentIQ is the industry’s leading source of daily, unit-level competitive intelligence. We track over 30M units delivering the most accurate, up-to-date rent rate and leasing data available to multifamily operators today.

You will collaborate closely with product managers and developers to design intuitive interfaces and seamless user experiences. Your work will focus on understanding user needs and rapidly iterating design solutions that balance business impact, user goals, and technical execution to ensure our product delivers accessible and actionable data to our clients. Our ideal candidate will have a track record of imparting an analytical mindset to simplify complex UX problems into lean solutions and developing easy to use experiences that were central to impacting the growth of a business.

If you are a highly motivated, results-oriented individual with a passion for growth and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, we would love to hear from you.  Join our team and help shape the future of our exciting company.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product and engineering to prioritize and spec out new features
  • Design new features all the way from concept to finalized pixels
  • Partner with engineering from concept to QA  to ensure a feature gets built, balancing your vision, technical feasibility, and user value
  • Conduct user research, interviews, and surveys, translating them into experience maps, story maps, workflows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
  • Analyzing market trends and industry activities to inform design decisions

Qualifications:

  • You have 5+ years of UX product design with a portfolio showcasing the impact of your work on the business
  • You have experience working on a small design team and "doing it all"; early stage startup experience highly preferred
  • Speed is in your DNA; you enjoy being part of a team where urgency is the default setting
  • You enjoy going deep on both UX and UI work
  • You're a clear communicator and enjoy working closely with partners across teams, particularly in engineering
  • You've invested in your craft and have experience with data visualization and interaction design

Why Choose Us:

  • 100% remote workplace
  • Competitive Compensation Package
  • Flexible Time Off
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 100% paid Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, and Life Insurance Program
  • 401k Program
  • No A**hole policy

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
