As the leading platform for Daily Fantasy Sports, we cover a diverse range of sports leagues, including the NFL, NBA, and Esports titles like League of Legends and Counter-Strike. Our team of over 450 employees thrives in an inclusive culture that values individuals from diverse backgrounds, regardless of their level of sports fandom. Ready to reimagine the DFS industry together?

We are seeking an experienced Product Designer to join our product design team at PrizePicks, focusing on extending the scope of our Free to Play offerings to appeal to a variety of different fan segments. The ideal candidate will have focused on creating fun, visually appealing products in the past, and will have a strong background in designing for optimization, user experience, and business impact. You’ll collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers to ideate, prototype, and ship experiences that surprise and delight our players. Your work will directly impact how we attract and retain passionate fans both into more conventional sports games and into new and innovative ways of interacting with and making predictions.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with product managers, engineers, marketing, brand creative, and other key stakeholders to create designs for innovative free-to-play prediction games for a wide variety of fan personas and engagement levels
  • Create intuitive, data-driven designs that optimize the end-to-end user journey, including onboarding, retention, and re-engagement flows.
  • Design and test scalable, flexible, and reusable UI/UX patterns that align with our brand while driving key business metrics.
  • Utilize qualitative and quantitative research to inform and validate design decisions.
  • Act as a thought leader and advocate for how free-to-play games can engage users right away and drive conversion into paid products, communicating your design rationale to stakeholders clearly and persuasively.
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure seamless implementation of your designs and adherence to best practices.
  • Iterate rapidly on designs and prototypes based on user feedback and A/B testing outcomes.

What you have:

  • Proven experience in product design with a strong portfolio, ideally focused on mobile games or other products with high sensory appeal, fun factor, and low barriers to entry
  • Strong portfolio showcasing data-informed design solutions and measurable business impact.
  • A deep understanding of growth metrics, user behavior, and design’s role in driving acquisition, retention, and monetization.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills that inspire cross-functional teams and drive alignment.
  • Experience in native mobile app design with a solid understanding of patterns and standards from Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) and Google’s Material Design, as well as contributions to a design system.
  • Strong storytelling and communication skills, able to present design concepts clearly and persuasively to stakeholders.
  • Animation skills, with experience using tools like Rive to create dynamic, engaging, and interactive designs that elevate the user experience.
  • A detail-oriented and iterative approach to problem-solving, leveraging research and testing to refine solutions.
  • Humility, emotional intelligence, low ego, and ability to thrive in environments where 0-1 thinking and navigating ambiguity is required.

Where you’ll live:

  • While we prefer candidates based in Atlanta, we are open to qualified applicants from anywhere in the U.S. and are willing to consider remote candidates.

Benefits you’ll receive:

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
