About the Role:

The Identity Verification Squad keeps bad actors out of Remitly while designing toward seamless, frictionless verification experiences for our customers. Our team includes data scientists, analysts, MLEs, SDEs, product managers, and program managers.

You will report to the Analytics Manager, Risk - Identity, this is a hybrid role that requires 2-3 days a week at our Seattle, WA headquarters.

You Will:

  • Become an expert on Remitly's data, product experience, internal policy, and regulatory requirements
  • Build a unified understanding of how our data, customer experiences, and goals align
  • Create metrics used to confirm our systems are working and understand what customers are experiencing
  • Collaborate with Compliance to communicate our systems to regulators and to create new product experiences and backend systems
  • Design experiments, read A/B tests, and perform ad hoc analyses

You Have:

  • 2+ yrs in a product analyst role or similar full-time, professional experience
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, economics, or another quantitative field (or equivalent additional experience)
  • 2+ yrs of experience using SQL for analysis (Python, R, statistical analysis, and modeling a bonus)
  • Foundational statistical knowledge
  • Experience distilling business problems from discussions, developing hypotheses, building an analytical framework, carrying out an analysis, and writing a clear recommendation
  • Strong data communication skills, including data visualization, technical writing, and business writing
  • Experience finding creative solutions within the constraints of complex systems and policies

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $112,000-$140,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
