Every market day, our flagship news shows follow market developments and turn to lead investment managers and strategists, research analysts, executives, and policymakers to keep viewers abreast of what’s driving performance and shaping future opportunities. 

We are seeking a skilled producer who is excited about the opportunity to create, pitch, and produce numerous segments per day that are distributed to Yahoo Finance’s vast audience. This individual is key to developing programming that helps our viewers make informed choices about their money.

Responsibilities:

  • As a key member of the production team, you will pitch, develop, and produce numerous live show segments per day 

  • You will be responsible for researching segments, identifying key topics for discussion

  • Developing and creating graphics to visually aid the story on air

  • Works closely with the SEO team to frame segments and guests bookings to best serve our distribution needs and goals

  • Responsible for 5-7 segments daily and responsible for a pipeline of segments in the weeks and months ahead

  • Collaborate with the show Talent and bookers to identify and book experts across multiple fields, including C-Suite level guests, Market experts, industry insiders, and more whose advice will help our audience make informed decisions.

  • Collaborative with bookers, talent, reports, graphic designers, studio team and more

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of producing experience within a major news organization, ideally a strong streaming and/or digital media outlet preferred

  • Must be able to work in New York City - this is a hybrid role with a regular in-office presence required

  • Must have a passion for Finance news and live-streaming production

  • A key passion for storytelling is a must

  • An in-depth understanding of current events is essential, while a high-level understand of financial news is preferred. 

  • Solid storytelling and impeccable editorial judgment

  • Strong use of imagery, graphics and animations in video storytelling

  • Deep understanding of how to create content for the audience and the platforms where the content appears

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to balance priorities and multiple projects and tasks with ease

  • Experience with shooting, editing, graphics and field production a major plus

The compensation for this position ranges from $72,750.00 - $151,250.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives. Our comprehensive benefits include healthcare, a great 401k, backup childcare, education stipends and much (much) more.
