Principle IOS Engineer - Mobile iOS

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Principal Engineer – Mobile (iOS) to lead the design, development, and optimization of our iOS applications. This role involves driving architectural decisions, mentoring development teams, and ensuring high performance and scalability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build cutting-edge mobile experiences that align with business goals and user needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Technical Leadership: Define and implement architectural standards and best practices for iOS development, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  Development & Innovation: Lead the development of new features and enhancements for iOS applications, leveraging the latest Apple technologies and industry trends.
  Code Quality & Optimization: Write clean, efficient, and testable code while conducting code reviews and enforcing best coding practices.
  Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless, high-quality mobile experiences.
  Mentorship & Team Growth: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior and senior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  Performance & Security: Optimize application performance, ensure adherence to security best practices, and troubleshoot complex issues.
  Industry Awareness: Stay up to date with advancements in iOS development, Swift, and mobile technologies to drive innovation within the team.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required:    Bachelor's Degree
• Preferred Degree:  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Years of experience: 15+ years of experience in mobile software development, with at least 8+ years focused on iOS.
• Expert proficiency in Swift and Objective-C, along with deep knowledge of iOS frameworks like UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, and Combine.
• Experience in architecting complex iOS applications, ensuring modularity and scalability.
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and mobile backend integration.
• Strong background in performance tuning, debugging, and optimizing mobile applications.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies for iOS applications.
• Familiarity with cloud-based mobile solutions, push notifications, and analytics tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Experience with cross-platform mobile frameworks like Flutter or React Native is a plus.
• Knowledge of AI/ML integration in mobile applications.
• Prior experience working in agile and DevOps-driven environments.
