SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Principal Software Product Manager, Catastrophe Response to drive the evolution of our Catastrophe Response Center and related capabilities. This role will be responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and execution of tools that help our policyholders and internal teams respond effectively to catastrophe events. You will lead our efforts in developing industry leading capabilities for event monitoring, response coordination, damage assessment and customer communication, enabling SageSure to provide exceptional support when it matters most. This individual contributor role requires deep product expertise, technical fluency, and a customer-first mindset, as well as strong leadership in working cross-functionally with engineering, claims and operations teams. 

What you’d be doing: 

  • Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for SageSure’s Cat Response capabilities, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. 
  • Lead the development of scalable solutions that enable real-time event tracking, policyholder impact assessments and proactive response efforts. 
  • Leverage geospatial data, aerial imagery, AI, and automation to optimize damage assessment and claims processing. 
  • Partner closely with engineering and data science teams to build intuitive and reliable tools that enhance event driven decision making. 
  • Work across stakeholders in claims, data science and operations to identify pain points and ensure the platform delivers value. 
  • Own product discovery efforts, engaging with end users, analyzing data, and researching market trends to inform prioritization and innovation. 
  • Define and measure outcomes, using quantitative and qualitative insights to drive continuous improvement and iterate based on impact. 
  • Balance near term execution with long-term strategy, making informed tradeoffs between speed, scale, and impact. 
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration, technical excellence, and a user-centric approach to product development. 
  • Act as a thought leader within SageSure, sharing insights, influencing executive stakeholders, and driving innovation in catastrophe response. 

We’re looking for someone who has: 

  • 6+ years of product management experience, with a track record of delivering impactful software solutions. 
  • Experience in catastrophe events, insurance technology, or data driven decision platforms and a strong ability to ramp up quickly in complex domains. 
  • Technical fluency, with experience in geospatial analytics, AI/ML applications, automation, APIs, and data pipelines. 
  • A strong analytical mindset, with expertise in using data and experimentation to drive product decisions. 
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make short- and long-term tradeoffs.  
  • Experience working with engineering teams, with a solid understanding of agile software development practices, CI/CD, microservices. 
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to engage executives, engineers, and frontline users alike. 
  • A highly strategic, impact driven approach, with a passion for building products that make a meaningful difference. 

Highly preferred candidates also have: 

  • Experience in operations-heavy industries like insurance and finance. 
  • Adept at navigating complex, fast-paced environments and making informed tradeoffs, all while keeping the customer experience at the forefront of innovative product solutions. 
  • Skilled at managing remote teams with exceptional communication and storytelling abilities to engage executives, engineers, and end-users alike. 
  • Rapidly ramping up in complex domains such as catastrophe events, insurance technology, or data-driven decision platforms. 
  • Demonstrated success in leveraging market research, competitive analysis, and both qualitative and quantitative insights to inform product discovery, prioritize initiatives, and drive measurable business impact.
