This position is based at our on-site Tech Hub in Charlotte, North Carolina. Lowe's Tech Hub is an ultramodern work environment, complete with cutting-edge technology, collaborative workspaces, an on-site barista and Zen Garden, and other perks to enhance your work experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge AI-driven solutions in the Merchandising Technology space. This role focuses on revolutionizing space planning and assortment optimization to create data-driven, customer-centric strategies that drive business growth.
• Develop scalable, intelligent platforms that integrate advanced AI/ML models, optimize inventory assortment, and enhance space utilization. Your expertise will shape the future of how we leverage technology to meet evolving market demands and delight our customers.
• Independently lead projects with significant business implications, participating in planning, priority estimates, and advising Software Engineers.
• Mentor and advise others in all software development lifecycle phases, sharing an in-depth understanding of company and industry methodologies, policies, standards, and controls.
• Support systems integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) for large, complex, cross-functional application initiatives, ensuring proper test coverage.
• Communicate changes in software architecture, coach others to apply this understanding to software solutions, and resolve escalated issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 10 years of experience in software development or related field• 8 years of experience in any of the following: software engineering competencies frontend technologies (UI/UX), middleware (microservices and APIs), database technologies, DevOps • 8 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC)• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems (CIS), or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
Preferred Skills/Experience:

• 6 years of IT experience developing and implementing business systems within an organization
• 6 years of experience working with source code control systems, defect or incident tracking software, and/or writing technical documentation in a software development environment
• 6 years of experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions
• 4 years of experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
• 4 years of experience leading teams, with or without direct reports
• Experience working with Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment tools
