As a key member of the Identity Protection product marketing team, you will be responsible for positioning, messaging, product launches, competitive research, sales enablement, and market awareness. You will work cross-functionally with product management, sales, demand generation, and the broader marketing organization to drive pipeline growth and strengthen market leadership.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Identity Protection and a strong understanding of Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR), Identity Security Posture Management (ISPM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Zero Trust, human and non-human identities, SaaS security, and data protection.

Success in this role requires strategic thinking, strong storytelling, content creation, and execution skills, along with a passion for cybersecurity and market differentiation.

This is a senior individual contributor position, not a people management role, reporting to the Director of PMM - Identity Protection & SSPM. If you are a strategic thinker, strong communicator, and cybersecurity expert looking to make a direct impact in shaping the future of Identity Protection, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

  • Messaging & Positioning – Craft differentiated and compelling messaging that showcases customer outcomes, competitive differentiation, and product capabilities in Identity Protection.

  • Product Launches – Own and execute successful launches for Identity Protection offerings, coordinating cross-functional efforts across product, sales, and marketing.

  • Market Growth & Business Impact – Drive awareness, pipeline growth, and adoption through targeted go-to-market programs.

  • Content Strategy – Develop high-impact content, including sales collateral, competitive battlecards, website content, thought leadership, videos, and blogs.

  • Sales Enablement – Equip the sales and partner teams with compelling messaging, training, and tools to accelerate deal cycles and competitive wins.

  • Market & Competitive Intelligence – Be the go-to expert on buyer needs, market trends, and competitive positioning, translating insights into actionable strategies.

  • Strategic GTM Execution – Work closely with product management, demand generation, and field marketing to drive go-to-market initiatives that generate demand and expand market share.

  • Thought Leadership – Represent CrowdStrike as a thought leader through blogs, social media, speaking engagements, and industry events.

What You’ll Need:

  • 12+ years of experience in cybersecurity product marketing, technical marketing, product management or field CTO.

  • Deep expertise in Identity Protection (ITDR, ISPM, PAM, Zero Trust, Non-Human Identities) along with a strong understanding of endpoint security, threat intelligence, data protection or cloud security.

  • Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills – ability to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills – comfort working with executives, sales, product management, and demand generation teams.

  • Highly strategic yet execution-focused – able to translate strategy into compelling messaging and measurable impact.

  • Self-starter with high energy, urgency, and intensity – thrives in fast-paced environments.

  • Excellent writing skills – ability to develop clear, engaging, and persuasive content.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in high-growth cybersecurity companies.

  • Background in technical marketing, product management, or sales engineering.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
