We're hiring a Principal Product Manager, reporting to the Group Product Manager, Confluence Creation Experiences. We're looking for an experienced Product Manager with a strong technical background in building SaaS (Software as a Service) for businesses. This role will focus on one of Confluence's core investments - our new Pages experience.
Confluence has built an incredibly strong global business built off its historical Pages experience. As we move to revolutionize Confluence and how its used by all teams to collaborate, we're totally rethinking our core Page experiences.
What you'll do:

  • Develop the vision, strategy and roadmap for how users collaborate and consume content via "Pages", and our new "Docs" content type.
  • Own the scope, rollout and roadmap for our new Pages strategy, shipping it to our global customer base
  • Work across multiple Confluence teams - GTM, monetization, Content Experience, enterprise, and other product teams with dedicated engineering teams, program management and designers
  • Work closely with Confluence leadership to build on top of Confluence Cloud's creation and collaboration strategy
  • Deeply understand the content collaboration market, customer problems, and opportunities


Your background:

  • 7+ years as a Product Manager or in an equivalent leadership position
  • Strong technical background, comfortable understanding/ sparring/ challenging technical approaches with experienced architects and senior engineering leadership, as well as with customers
  • Worked on B2B SaaS - ideally in a role connected with content creation and collaboration
  • Experience building SaaS products for all company sizes, from startups, to SMBs, through to large, complex enterprises
  • Experience balancing competing needs across customers
  • A proven track record for defining, building and delivering high impact products that create real business and customer value in fast-growth or large-scale companies
  • Strong influencing skills that help you to communicate and manage relationships across the organization - from customers, developers, to senior executives.
  • Able to understand sophisticated problems. You gather, prioritize and translate customer and business requirements into successful product strategies


Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $190,400 - $253,800
Zone B: $171,300 - $228,400
Zone C: $158,000 - $210,700
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
