The Ads Format team is seeking a technical leader in the area of ads client engineering which includes Android, iOS, Web, and API. You will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of ads client engineering at Pinterest. In particular, this role includes responsibility to enable Pinterest to build modern platform solutions to execute on our product roadmap while thinking strategically against developer productivity and quality of experience. You will be expected to mentor and coach our top client engineers, be a role model, set development practices that enhance the quality of software we build, make key architectural decisions, and participate in key strategic technical roadmap decisions for the Ad Formats Team.
What you’ll do:
- Lead architectural and technical design across Ad Formats.
- Serve as the bridge between Ad Formats engineering and Ads ML Engineering.
- Mentor and grow Senior technical leaders on the team.
What we’re looking for:
- Deep technical expert in one of iOS, Android, Web and API.
- Preference to folks who are experts in multiple but not a requirement.
- Must have extensive experience leading technical charters, especially developing and helping a company adopt modern client technologies.
- A go-to person in their functional areas, track record of leadership and strong product experience.
- Cross-functional collaboration skills and strong communication are a must.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
In-Office Requirement Statement:
- We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
- This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration once a week and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from one of the following offices San Francisco or Palo Alto
