The Principal User Experience Designer crafts innovative and engaging digital products that delight customers and drive business results. Responsible for design strategy and user-centered design activities related to web or mobile apps. The role will mentor other designers on the team and deliver T-Mobile's most critical product designs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Guides, mentors and encourages other designers in the team, keeping up with the design industry evolution including best practices for adaptable mobile & desktop design, accessibility, new trends and technologies.
  • Envision sophisticated UX ecosystems and encourage teams to push the boundaries of the "status quo."
  • Works across functional teams to understand business and feature requirements, technical possibilities and constraints.
  • Ability to work hand in hand with project and product managers to plan, build and complete with success while balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Acts as an evangelist for design thinking, partnering with key leaders to demonstrate how UX design and research empowers the creation of better digital products.
  • Establishes, evolves and evangelizes design strategy across the company.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.

Work Experience:

Required:

  • 7 plus years related working experience.

Preferred:

  • Design system (Salesforce) experience
  • Proven understanding of JIRA

Base Pay Range: $115,400 - $208,100

Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
