What you’ll do

  • Oversee Side Event scheduling globally for Regional Championships, International Championships, and the World Championships, working with the Premier Event managers on implementation and coordinating coverage
  • Track and generate regular reports on format activity, demographics, NPS scores, costs
  • Coordinate and develop future Side Event formats with internal stakeholders
  • Work with internal teams to source and implement new tools to refine and grow Side Event operations
  • Lead cross functional teams to plan and execute event programs for multiple products
  • Plan event asset and material requests and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery
  • Oversee budget for Side Event operation and Prize Wall stock replenishment
  • Manage small-to-large projects related to Premier Events to meet business needs
  • Oversee judge solicitation process, organization chart, and judge handbook for tentpole events working with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in the development and implementation of onsite judge training, policy, and evaluation with regards to Regional, International, and World Championships
  • Coordinate with external vendors on improvements made to judge operations at the Regional, International, and World Championships, reporting on evaluation and performance trends, gaps, and relevant needs
  • Draft and oversee requests for proposal to ensure appropriate staffing levels and implementation at TPCi owned events, negotiating, contracting, and on-boarding vendors as applicable
  • Oversee and provide support for online operations and other Premier Events as needed

               

What you’ll bring

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience required in current Organized Play programs/esports/sports offered in the marketplace (TCG/Video Games/Tabletop Games)
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Extensive experience with game design, game development, event hall play operations, or economy design
  • Expert knowledge of event competition show flow and common tournament formats including single elimination, double elimination, swiss, round robin, and multi-phased events
  • Expert at juggling multiple projects, scheduling tasks, and meeting tight deadlines
  • Experience and flexibility to work in an environment of rapid change
  • Advanced knowledge of MS office suite
  • Advanced knowledge of CAD programs like SketchUp or Vectorworks a plus
  • Existing knowledge of the Pokémon brand, and Play! program a major plus.
  • Existing knowledge of Microsoft Project, Workfront, JIRA, and Sharepoint a plus


Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between $105,000 - 125,000 per year. The full range is $105,000 - $157,000 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
