We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated People & Culture Intern to join our HR team. This internship provides hands-on experience in HR compliance, administrative support, and file auditing. The intern will assist in reviewing employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations, and supporting various HR administrative tasks. The right person for this role will be motivated, team-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects at a time. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate looking to gain practical HR experience in a professional setting. This internship will be on-site at our Fishers, Indiana office.
Key Accountabilities
- Audit employee files, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of documents such as I-9 forms, background checks, and offer letters.
- Verify compliance with federal, state, and company policies related to employee documentation.
- Assist with HR administrative tasks.
- Support compliance initiatives by identifying and addressing any missing or incomplete records.
- Assist in responding to internal audits and compliance checks related to employee documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
- Support additional HR projects as needed, including research, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
Education and Experience
- Completing undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management, Business Administration, or other related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Detail oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication
