Title: National Account Sales Senior Director - Walmart 

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Department: National Accounts

Reports to: VP National Accounts West

Salary: $130K-$160K + bonus

Date: 3/2025

 Job Summary:

The National Account Sales Senior Director - Walmart is responsible for growing the BeatBox business & executing sales and marketing programs at Walmart. This person will own relationships with both the retailer and the wholesaler. They must be aware of industry happenings, best practices, competition and overall alcohol beverage strategies. This role will lead the relationship with Walmart TAB leadership.

This role will need to utilize data to analyze organizational performance in key accounts, build “win/win” selling stories and to identify solutions & opportunities for growth. You must be enthusiastic, self-motivated and a meticulous collaborator/team player who is committed to the success of our business, as well as our customers.

 Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • This position does have direct supervisory responsibilities, overseeing and guiding the performance of team members within the assigned department.
  • Teaching, leading, coaching & developing national account managers and directors.
  • Conducting on-going employee 1 on 1 calls.   

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Sell new and expanded distribution of BeatBox brands to national retailers. Experience working with Walmart. 
  • Own and build relationships with Walmart leadership & buyers.  
  • Develop a strong understanding of client business needs and pain points and develop plans to address those needs.
  • Clearly and concisely communicate sales results to the BeatBox sales team and distributor networks to ensure execution of retail plans and promotions.
  • Build diligent, detailed follow-up plans on all new distribution and promotional activity.
  • Manage budget allocations, ROI, and other financial responsibilities.
  • Execute account plans and retail budget in order to maximize set sales goals.
  • Manage travel and expense (T&E) as well as BeatBox budgets.
  • Preparation and delivery of detailed and professional sales presentations for account business reviews and sales calls.
  • Uncover opportunities and grow volume in the target account base.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Proven track record in building good relationships with retail customers, internal associates, and wholesalers.
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative to gather and use customer feedback to identify customer and market needs and challenges.
  • Demonstrated diligence and ability to follow through on all commitments (internal and external stakeholders).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and must be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Geographic location is flexible but must be in a city with access to a major airport. 
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve performance goals with a minimum of direction.
  • Possibility of travel up to 50% of time.

Education/Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent job experience in the consumer products industry.
  • A minimum of 5-8 years sales experience in the beverage alcohol industry with a minimum of three years experience selling to off-premise chain retailers. A strong understanding of category management is required.
  • Proven analytical skills and understanding of syndicated data and its applicability to beverage alcohol categories are required.

Knowledge of Walmart syndicated data systems preferred

  • Experience calling on Walmart.
  • Preferred 5+ years of people management experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
