We're looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join Snap!
What you'll do:

  • Manage and mentor a team of mobile developers, in a fast-paced, quick-to-market environment
  • Set the strategy, build a roadmap, create measurable goals, and lead your team to deliver
  • Collaborate with Product, Operation, Data Science and Engineering teams, and executive stakeholders
  • Evaluate the technical tradeoffs of major decisions and be a strong technical mentor
  • Hire, grow and retain high-performing team members


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Background with shipping mobile software on iOS, Android or both
  • Experience with leading an engineering team
  • Ability leading and executing large, complex technical initiatives


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience working in software engineering
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team
  • 2+ years of experience with mobile software engineering


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Track record of delivery in rapidly changing, highly collaborative, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Experience with building low-level frameworks for large-scale mobile software development, such as Compilers, Dependency Injection, UI & Navigation Frameworks, Mobile Databases
  • Experience with mobile or embedded performance optimization, such as optimizing CPU and memory usage for mobile.
  • Experience leading platform teams that need to influence and drive technical change across large engineering organizations.

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) :
The base salary range for this position is $222,000-$333,000 annually.
Zone B :
The base salary range for this position is $211,000-$316,000 annually.
Zone C :
The base salary range for this position is $189,000-$283,000 annually.
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
