What is The Role:

As our organization continues to grow and adapt to an ever-evolving market, the ability to deliver innovative and high-value service offerings is critical to maintaining a driven edge and meeting the needs of both our sales teams and customers. To drive this forward, we are seeking a dedicated Manager, Services Portfolio to take ownership of our services portfolio, ensuring alignment with market demands, client needs, and interpersonal strategy. This role is pivotal in refining our existing offerings while driving the development and successful rollout of new, impactful services!

What You Will Be Doing:

Service Offering Development:

  • Collaborate with specialists and lead service offerings, from market research to implementation, ensuring alignment with company strategy and customer needs.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the services portfolio, tracking critical metrics (i.e. services global booking target attainment, portfolio growth, and services attachment rates) to measure success and adjusting to market trends.
  • Package services into clear, compelling value-driven offerings and collaborate with marketing and sales for effective positioning.
  • Build positive relationships with internal and external team members to ensure alignment and meet their needs.

GTM Integration:

  • Develop and implement go-to-market (GTM) plans for new service offerings, including pricing, positioning, and launch strategies. Continuously supervise GTM performance and refine approaches as needed.
  • Develop marketing content such as one-pagers and presentations to market and sell service offerings.
  • Integrate service offerings and value propositions within comprehensive sales and marketing programs and strategies.

Enablement:

  • Develop and deliver training and enablement materials to internal services and sales teams to improve customer engagement and drive adoption of service offerings by improving their understanding of service value propositions and technical aspects.
  • Participate in internal meetings to share announcements and provide enablement sessions across the field organization.

Technical Writing:

  • Craft clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation that effectively explains intricate technical concepts and procedures to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring that all collaborators can readily understand the information presented.
  • Distill sophisticated technical information into digestible formats, using plain language, visual aids, and analogies as needed to bridge the gap between technical guides and those with limited technical knowledge.

What You Will Bring:

  • 8+ years of professional services, consulting or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in service portfolio development
  • Confirmed experience in developing, managing, and refining service offerings within a fast-paced, multifaceted environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market demands and customer feedback into actionable service development plans.
  • Outstanding teamwork and relationship-building skills to engage cross-functional teams, collaborators, and clients optimally.
  • Proven ability to create compelling, customer-focused service packages and messaging that drive adoption and value.
  • Expertise in go-to-market strategies, including pricing, positioning, and launch planning, with a results-oriented attitude.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to enable and train sales teams to articulate service value propositions confidently.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time, as required.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working with KPIs such as services global booking target attainment, portfolio growth, and services attachment rates.
  • Knowledge of designing and delivering internal and external assets, including marketing collateral, enablement materials, and scoping/delivery tools.
  • Familiarity with running enablement sessions and workshops to drive awareness and understanding of services within internal teams.
  • A track record of driving innovation in service offerings, resulting in measurable business outcomes.


Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary.  This role does not have a variable compensation component.  

The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below.  In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below. 

These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.  

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.  Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.

The typical starting salary range for this role is:

$135,700$214,700 USD

The typical starting salary range for this role in the select locations listed above is:

$163,100$258,100 USD
