Position Summary:

The Manager of Nursing will play a critical role in overseeing and guiding our growing remote nursing team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while optimizing team performance and maintaining alignment with our business objectives. The ideal candidate has 2-3+ years of management experience, preferably within a startup environment, and is skilled in managing remote nursing teams in Remote Patient Monitoring and Chronic Care Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Development:

  • A strong passion for people management across a large-scale nursing team with a diverse background
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and daily support to the remote nursing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Develop and implement training programs and education to ensure clinical competency and alignment with the company’s values and goals
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Ensure the nursing team is achieving their performance metrics through performance management
  • Remote Team Coordination:

  • Effectively manage a geographically dispersed team, ensuring clear communication, collaboration, and alignment
  • Utilize remote management tools and techniques to maintain team cohesion and productivity
  • Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise within the remote team
  • Quality & Compliance:

  • Ensure the nursing team complies with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies
  • Implement quality assurance programs to monitor and improve patient care outcomes through call quality, clinical process review, and nursing documentation
  • Lead efforts to maintain and enhance patient satisfaction and safety
  • Innovation & Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve clinical operations and patient care
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and team performance
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously elevate the team’s capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience & Skills:

  • Must have 2-3+ years of management experience in a healthcare setting, with a strong preference for startup experience, Remote Patient Monitoring, and Chronic Care Management
  • Proven experience managing large-scale remote nursing teams, with the ability to lead and inspire from a distance
  • Strong clinical background with a deep understanding of patient care best practices
  • Excellent communication, leadership, time management and organizational skill
  • Advanced knowledge of technology and computer systems, including Google Suite, Salesforce, EHR platforms, and managing spreadsheets. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
  • Licensure & Education:

  • Active Compact License Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) license or Registered Nurse (RN) license required 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field preferred

Optimize Health Seattle, Washington, USA Office

Remote first, we do have a small office in Ballard that some of our Seattle based team members use. Our office is right in the middle of great food, shopping, bars and coffee shops.
