We envision a future where people transact in the real world with a speed, ease and convenience that is unparalleled, even online. Tomorrow, we will power checkout-free experiences anywhere you go to make the everyday experiences of living, working and playing remarkable - giving us back our most valuable asset, time.

The Role

At Metropolis Technologies, we are revolutionizing the way people and cities interact through innovative technologies. As the Manager of Government and Community Relations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping public policy for an emerging industry and fostering relationships with key government and community stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Government Relations, you will support the launch of a new team, drive community outreach strategies, and partner across departments to advance our policy goals in key states and municipalities.

Responsibilities

  • Relationship Building: Establish and nurture relationships with key government officials, community leaders, and stakeholders.
  • Community Engagement: Develop and implement a community outreach plan aligned with Metropolis’ strategic goals.
  • Policy Analysis: Review and analyze public policies in collaboration with the legal team and other departments, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in government or community affairs, ideally in a fast-paced, innovative, and policy-rich environment.
  • Proven expertise in community engagement and relationship management.
  • Industry experience in transportation, infrastructure, artificial intelligence, or privacy policy is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A self-starter with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive initiatives independently.
  • Preferred local to Nashville, TN.

When you join Metropolis, you’ll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture where everyone has a voice and the best idea wins. You will play a key role in building and maintaining this culture as our organization grows. The anticipated base salary for this position is $110,000 to $130,000 annually. The actual base pay offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment.
