Manager, Business Information & Analysis

We deliver experiences to consumers through our Disney's Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Lines, and Disney Vacation Club. We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digitally led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business, as well as other initiatives such as Hey, Disney!
This role sits in the 3PO organization within DX Tech & Digital. As Manager, Business information & Analysis, you will oversee core planning processes (annual operating plan, capital plan, long-term plan, monthly & quarterly forecasts, resource management), improve process efficiencies, prioritize metrics & insights for heavy data analysis, and ensure best practices in reporting to empower executive decision-making.
The Manager, Business Information & Analysis will collaborate with a magnitude of internal & external stakeholders to understand program needs, strategic direction, and ensure initiative delivery. This role is positioned to drive department-wide change across the Technology & Digital organization to achieve our strategic goals. This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and persuading peers and leaders to adopt new ideas, strategies, and initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of organizational dynamics and be able to navigate relationships to influence decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Program Strategy: Develop and drive program strategies that align with organizational objectives & goals, influencing senior and executive leadership to secure buy-in and support.
- Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and evaluate large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights to enable informed decision-making and strategic planning. Leverage modeling techniques to support running hypothesis, optimize analysis and forecast trends.
- Information Governance: Lead the development and implementation of data management strategies, governance policies, and best practices to ensure data accuracy and alignment between key systems and partnering teams. Establish data quality standards and work with stakeholders to ensure compliance. Lead root cause analysis and resolve data-related issues.
- Process Optimization: Identify functional requirements through process analysis, review of procedures, pre / post-mortem interviews, and meetings with stakeholders. Document and prioritize requirements for solutions with varying complexity. Foster operational efficiency and continuous improvement for program-related activities.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with internal teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements, effectively represent their perspective, and ensure the delivery of effective solutions, data insights, etc. Lead teams through ad-hoc data collection and analysis activities to support organizational objectives.
- Forecast Accuracy: Oversee program execution for monthly & annual submission-based activities, ensuring adherence to forecast accuracy while proactively identifying and mitigating risks with Finance and department leaders.
- Documentation & Reporting: Lead comprehensive documentation tactics by recording, organizing, and maintaining data, such as metrics, program progress, analytical findings, etc to ensure transparency, accountability informed decision making.
- Change Agent: Champion a culture of innovation and change, providing leadership, strategic direction, and guidance to teams in a dynamic & ever-changing environment.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 8 years of work experience as a Program / Business / Data Analyst
- Expertise in program and department cost optimization, financial planning, and implementation with a track record of driving process improvements.
- Experience with big data / visualization concepts and working knowledge of tools such as PowerBI, Tableau; core concepts of relational data.
- Ability to manage multiple objectives, projects and priorities simultaneously; manage change and ambiguity with an action-orientation drive in dynamic environment.
- Strong leadership and time management skills. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication abilities to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to communicate across multiple levels of leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Bash, PowerShell) and automation tools (e.g., PowerBI, PowerAutomate, etc.)
- Understanding of software development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, etc. Experience with analysis tools and application development methodologies. Working knowledge of project management principles and practices
- Proven ability to create presentations leveraging collected data and weaving together the storytelling in a meaningful way.
Education
Bachelor's degree in technology, Business, Finance, or related field
