The Temp. Mailroom Coordinator is primarily responsible for the activities that require the use of, or resources located in the sample room.
These activities include shipping and receiving, paperwork processing, coordinating information and maintaining files. The Samples & Mailroom Coordinator is responsible for managing the use of the space to make sure the needs of the organization are being met. This person would strive to have a close working relationship and a willingness to work together with team members as one unit with respect to the company's values, visions, and objectives at all times.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION
Shipment and Receiving:

  • Receive all inbound shipments (small parcel and freight) and distribute to appropriate parties.
  • Prepare and fulfill all outbound shipment requests (small parcel and freight).
  • Unwrap, photograph, and handle samples for time-sensitive development and sales projects.
  • Facilitate communication between factories/suppliers and internal teams for product review and dispatch.
  • Work with local warehouse staff to acquire or store samples as requested.
  • Retrieve USPS mail from lobby mailbox and deliver to front desk.
  • Coordinate with sales/marketing on trade show logistical needs.
  • Data entry into shipping systems.


Shipping Supplies Management:

  • Maintain stocked inventory of shipping supplies in the sample room.
  • Managing sample room, maintaining organization of supplies.


General Admin:

  • Maintain sample room in clean and working order.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Miscellaneous office tasks.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE
Proficiencies:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person and over the phone.
  • Solid word processing and spreadsheet skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Make process improvement recommendations and implement changes.
  • Customer service centric.
  • Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time-management, organizational, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.
  • Ability to study and apply new information.
  • Possess a work ethic that includes neatness and punctuality.
  • Self-motivated with independent judgment to manage daily workload.


Education and Experience:

  • Two to five years Shipping/Receiving experience.
  • AA or bachelor's degree preferred; not required.


Salary: $20.00/hr -$30.00/hr

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience. tms is a total rewards company, which includes rewards beyond base salary.
