We're looking for a Lifecycle & Engagement Manager to join our marketing team and lead our customer communications. This role will create customer lifecycle campaigns using Braze, and targeted messaging and product positioning that drives customer engagement, increases customer lifetime value, and supports new feature adoption via email, in-app, and push notification channels. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Analytics teams, ensuring all messaging is on-brand, strategic, data-informed, and aligned with both business strategy and customer needs across all lifecycle stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be our Braze Expert: Utilize Braze for campaign creation, including setting up email, in-app, and push notifications; segmenting audiences; and personalizing messages.
  • Lifecycle Campaign Strategy & Execution: Design, execute, and optimize lifecycle campaigns (onboarding, trial, subscription, and churn) to increase customer engagement and LTV.
  • Positioning & Messaging: Assist in developing core positioning and messaging frameworks for core features and new product offerings, ensuring they are effectively communicated to different customer segments.
  • Cross-Sell & Upsell Initiatives: Develop and manage campaigns that encourage package upsells, cross-sells, and winbacks through dynamic messaging and discount offers.
  • Feature Release & Adoption Campaigns: Partner with Product to craft and execute messaging strategies for new feature launches and support campaigns that drive feature adoption.
  • Copywriting & Creative Collaboration: Write compelling, clear, and on-brand copy for lifecycle campaigns and collaborate with the Creative team by providing well-drafted briefs for visuals and content.
  • AI Utilization: Leverage AI tools, such as ChatGPT, to improve content personalization and campaign efficiency.

Requirements

  • 1.5+ years of experience using Braze for email, in-app messaging, and push notificationsProven ability to write engaging copy that resonates with diverse customer segments
  • Strong understanding of customer lifecycle stages and strategies to improve engagement at each stage
  • Experience writing creative briefs that drive clear, impactful visuals and messaging
  • Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT for content enhancement and workflow optimization
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally, especially with product teams
  • Knowledge of customer engagement and retention best practices, including upsell, cross-sell, and win-back strategies
  • Experience with lifecycle marketing and retention strategies for mobile subscription-based products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of data-driven marketing and personalized messaging techniques
  • Experience supporting new feature launches, including feature positioning and adoption campaigns
