About Us

Nourish is on a mission to improve people’s health by making it easy to eat well. More than half of Americans have a chronic condition related to what they eat, and poor nutrition is the number one driver of preventable death.

Nourish is addressing this healthcare crisis by helping people eat better, more easily, with our food as medicine platform. We connect people with a telehealth Registered Dietitian, food, and mobile app to improve their nutrition, all covered by health insurance. The Nourish mobile app provides a comprehensive approach to wellness through personalized visits with Registered Dietitians, medically-tailored meal delivery, health progress tracking, personalized content, meal logging, recipes / meal planning, AI chat, and more.

We launched two years ago and already have thousands of dietitians and hundreds of thousands of patients on the platform. Our patients span a wide range of nutrition-related conditions including diabetes, eating disorders, kidney disease, GI conditions, cancer, obesity / weight management, cardiovascular disease, and more. We are live in all 50 states.

We are growing quickly, have partnered with national health insurance companies and provider groups, and have raised over $44M from top-tier VCs including Index Ventures, Thrive Capital, Maverick Ventures, Y Combinator, and Box Group, amongst others. Our angel investors include world-class healthcare founders from Oscar, Rightway Health, Headway, Spring Health, and Alto Pharmacy, as well as soccer star Alex Morgan and the founders from Olipop and Notion.

About the Role

As the Lifecycle Marketing Lead on our rapidly scaling team, you'll be responsible for all of Lifecycle Marketing across the patient journey (conversion, retention, and reactivation). You'll be instrumental in the execution of Nourish's growth roadmap, ultimately driving more users to Nourish more efficiently and increasing patient LTV. This is a great opportunity to build email and SMS programs from scratch to drive the growth of our business. This person will report into our Director of Growth Marketing.

This role is full-time and open to NYC or remote candidates (NYC preferred).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own our Lifecycle Marketing strategy for conversion, retention, and reactivation, across email, SMS, and other channels.
  • Design and execute email and SMS campaigns end-to-end, including collaborating with engineering on data setup, designing and building individual emails and texts, experimentation, and measurement.
  • Define key Lifecycle metrics and set clear goals and targets that ladder up into overall business priorities.
  • Lead customer segmentation strategy across the full patient journey, including the analysis and research inputs.
  • Collaborate closely with key partners across Marketing, Product, Engineering, and more, to align lifecycle efforts with cross-functional business initiatives (new product and payer launches, marketing moments, etc.).

You’ll love this role if:

  • You’re a full-funnel marketer. You have just as many ideas and tactics to improve pre-signup conversion as ones to increase LTV.
  • You value autonomy and ownership. You’re eager to own all aspects of Lifecycle Marketing, from hands-on campaign building to big picture strategy across all email and SMS surfaces and the results they drive.
  • You’re data-obsessed. You live and breathe A/B testing and iteration to continually improve campaigns and uncover learnings.
  • You have a patient-first mindset. You are deeply understanding and empathetic to the full range of patients we serve and are able to build personal and compelling campaigns for each segment.
  • You’re operationally excellent. You have extreme attention to detail, but you don’t sacrifice efficiency and speed.
  • You’re hungry to make a business impact. You want to lead our biggest channels and be a key pillar of Nourish’s rapid growth.
  • You’re passionate about Nourish’s mission. You believe in the power of nutrition to transform healthcare and are excited to be at the forefront of this change.

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • You have 6-8 years of direct experience in Lifecycle Marketing building email and SMS campaigns across conversion, retention, and reactivation for a consumer-facing business. Experience in the health/medical space highly preferred.
  • You have hands-on experience building email and SMS campaigns. Experience with customer.io and SendGrid highly preferred.
  • You have a proven and extensive track record improving key marketing metrics, including conversion rate, churn, and customer LTV
  • You’re experienced managing internal and/or external designers and email coders to build engaging and performant campaigns
  • You’ve worked closely with engineering teams to set up well-oiled data integrations for highly optimized campaigns
  • You have extensive experience levering data analyses and customer research to create well-informed campaigns and messaging for distinct customer segments
  • You’re passionate about food as medicine and nutrition therapy and are excited by Nourish’s mission to improve the lives of millions through food.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
