Description

We are currently seeking a content writer with editing skills and SEO knowledge. Our team is responsible for generating the content on our law firm clients’ websites. Your content must be informative, accurate, and compelling to read. It must also be written with SEO best practices, and designed to maximize conversions.

The role is 100% remote and is a 1099 contractor. With the guidance of the Director of Content and Content Manager, the ideal candidate will need to:

  • Learn and implement the Rankings preferred style guidelines, editorial process, and brand voice in content submissions to clients
  • Possess excellent skills in Legal writing and experience in editing content using SEO and editorial guidelines
  • Refresh existing content using SEO best practices
  • Edit and proof submissions and run content through Grammarly to improve style and tone
  • Check all pieces for accuracy
  • Meet all deadlines set by the content team
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times.
  • Be willing to learn, responsive to feedback, and flexible with the day-to-day tasks.
  • Add relevant images and graphics to WordPress content
  • Optimize content for SEO, including keyword targeting and meta data
Requirements
  • Coachable and open to learning new things
  • Extremely flexible and adaptable
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a legal space and have legal samples to provide
  • Knowledge of AI Prompting
  • Notice errors, glitches, and things that may fall through the cracks
  • Experience as a Content Writer
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Excellent time-management and organization skills
  • Proficient in WordPress and Google Docs
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times
  • Be willing to learn, responsive to feedback, and flexible with the day-to-day tasks
