In addition, this individual may be tasked with overseeing an Integrated Product Delivery (IPT) team within a large, complex program.
The ideal candidate for this role will embody a mindset and approach to project management that prioritizes flexibility, continuous improvement, customer focus, and rapid iteration, by combining the principles of "lean" methodology (minimizing waste) with the core values of "agile" (adapting to change and delivering value in small increments). In this job, you will:

  • Partner with sponsors, Portfolio Directors, and teams to plan long-term Project/Product Roadmaps, together with the ability to run hypothesis-based kaizens and pivot teams to also deliver short-term results. Must have the ability and adaptability to coach or run projects or IPTs, as needed.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across different teams within a value stream to ensure smooth handoffs and coordinated delivery.
  • Leading initiatives to implement changes and optimize processes within the value stream, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support cross-functional product development teams to optimize their workflow and deliver value efficiently.
  • May be tasked with Cost Account Management (CAM) responsibilities in support of IPT leadership tasks.
  • Identify and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to value stream performance.
  • Be a passionate learner who is big-picture, strategic, and can partner with Portfolio Directors and stakeholders on Strategy Execution (top-down) and Value Stream Optimization (across.)

The candidate shall be highly customer focused, meeting customer expectation and responsive to feedback. The ideal candidate will have experience in both IT and in leading complex business facing programs with the ability to drive technology adoption within BAE Systems business sectors.
