Job Overview:

We're looking for a Lead Product Designer with extraordinary visual and interaction design skills to be a foundational member of our product team. 

You will be responsible for the design and implementation of all the experiences a collector has when interacting with our mobile app and our website. You will work closely with our marketing team and engineering team, as well as the founders, to ensure seamless web/mobile design and the successful implementation of UI/UX best practices and principles across all our digital platforms. 

Not only that, but you will oversee all aspects of the design process, from research and ideation, to creative conceptualization and design. And you will work with the rest of the team to research and develop cohesive design plans, concepts, and prototypes.

You are a crucial component of our company’s growth and product launches through your contributions to our short and long term strategic direction with a strong focus on user needs.

Your Role:

  • Contribute to the overall strategy and decision-making about product design and direction
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Team up with our product manager, engineers, and founders to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience
  • Lead user centered research, manage user testing sessions, and derive meaningful insights from findings
  • Assess existing UX architecture and identify areas for improvement
  • Design experiences across all of our platforms such as iOS, Android and Web
  • Drive overall corporate design and branding
  • Iterate on features and edits to drive adoption and customer satisfaction
  • Deliver pixel-perfect mockups and design specs while maintaining design quality in shipped product

Your Profile:

  • 5+ years experience as an in-house UX/UI designer OR equivalent portfolio
  • An impressive portfolio demonstrating strong UI/UX design, prototyping, visual design, typography, and visual hierarchy
  • Expert knowledge of design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Adobe Creative Cloud)
  • Experience building beautiful and inspiring product design experiences that help users discover, inspire and connect 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. As a remote team, documentation skills are critical
  • A passion for exploring new and existing paradigms to add to your repertoire of ideas and solutions. You are especially curious about technology, design, product and people
  • Detail oriented, critical thinker, problem solver and customer centered
  • Flexibility, resourcefulness, and professionalism; the ability to work with little direction in a fast-paced, remote startup environment

Nice to Have:

  • Excitement for the collectibles space
  • Experience with user research and testing, and with motion, illustration or brand design
  • Marketplace experience or building social communities
  • You are well-versed in data-informed product design and development
