Jr. Motion Designer

Aya Healthcare is looking for a talented, organized, and eager-to-learn Jr Motion Designer to join our video team. At Aya, you will work closely with the Director of Video and Motion and Sr Motion Designers to create and produce motion graphics for an array of projects and brands. This role is perfect for someone who is already proficient in After Effects and knowledgeable of standard motion graphics workflows but is also looking to learn and grow as a motion designer. 

This role will primarily work PST hours.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with our video team to create motion graphics for promotional, marketing, and company videos 
• Create motion graphics and animations using After Effects and/or other motion graphics applications for marketing and promotional usage 
• Basic knowledge of Premiere Pro and editing is a plus, or have willingness to learn 
• Create and edit video content for multi-platform use and distribution including websites, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram (Instagram Reels, IGTV, Instagram Stories), Snapchat and TikTok 
• Fulfill graphics production and finishing requests efficiently and accurately 
• Design and animate demo videos for Aya Healthcare software and websites 
• Basic VFX tasks including rotoscoping, screen replacements, and video tracking (Mocha experience a plus) 
• Uphold department standards for organization and workflow
• Engage in opportunities to develop original content and concepts for web and mobile 

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent real-world, hands-on experience 
• Real world motion graphics and video editing experience. DEMO Reel is a MUST!
• Experience creating videos and knowledge of current trends that perform well on various social media platforms 
• Knowledge of the video production process: editing, encoding, uploading, and managing media 
• Production skills: motion graphics, editing, color grading and sound design - **After Effects should be main area of expertise** 
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud suite of programs (Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Illustrator, Photoshop, Cinema4D is a plus) and/or motion graphics application of your choice 
• Strong understanding of post-production workflow 
• Must be extremely organized and able to successfully reach multiple deadlines at once 
• Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team including an openness to feedback 
• Design and illustration experience a plus 
• Basic knowledge of audio and sound design 
• Experience with additional plug-ins and program add-ons a plus 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation: Aya reasonably anticipates the pay scale for this position to be $28.85 to $33.65, which equates to $60,000 to $70,000 annually.   

The pay scale for this position may vary if applicant possesses experience outside of what Aya reasonably anticipates for this position. Bonuses are subject to the role and your manager’s discretion.
