Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to use your deep technical skills to make a positive impact in healthcare? As a member of the IT team, the Support Specialist role is critical to supporting the technical needs for our HMA employees so they can better support our valued members. This opportunity will be a driving force to continue our journey to advancing our corporate IT technology to help improve collaboration efficiencies and the HMA employee computing experience.
What YOU will do:

  • Provide technical support for our users who are both remote and physically in the corporate office.
  • Help train users on how to use company issued technology, systems and applications.
  • Contribute and share knowledge across the team and our users by developing documentation to improve processes and enhance the user computing experience.
  • Manage corporate IT technology located at our corporate office.
  • Develop and maintain an inventory of all monitors, keyboards, hard drives, modems, network cards, and other components and equipment.
  • Leverage automation and scripting of system tasks to eliminate repetitive tasks and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineers to ensure efficient operation of the company's desktop computing environment.
  • Monitors emerging technology developments and identifies opportunities and issues for improvement.
  • Shares on call support responsibility as necessary.
  • Other duties which may be assigned in order to support HMA's Mission Statement and Core Values


Knowledge, Experience, and Key Attributes needed for Success:

  • Associate degree in computer science or related field preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of relevant IT support experience.
  • Strong customer-service orientation.
  • Prior experience in supporting a remote workforce.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of PC and desktop hardware.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of PC internal components.
  • Prior experience with server and systems administration
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Proficient with a wide range of Microsoft products including but not limited to Windows Desktop, Windows Server, M365, SharePoint, Dynamics CRM, Active Directory
  • Proficient in scripting and automation
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.


Environment:

  • On-call availability as per assigned schedule.
  • Occasional travel, after hours and weekend work.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, hand and power tools, and to handle other computer components.
  • Lifting and transporting of heavy to moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.


Compensation The base salary range for this position in the greater Seattle area is $29/hr - $39/hr for a level II and varies dependent on geography, skills, experience, education, and other job or market-related factors. While we are looking for level II, we may consider level III for highly qualified candidates. HMA is primarily a remote workforce, requires a reliable internet connection, and provides all hardware. Some roles are required onsite 1-3 days per week/month while other roles are 100% remote.
