Location: Swarm Aero (Hybrid/Onsite) – 2 days on-site at OXR/week

Swarm Aero is redefining air power, building the largest swarming UAV and most versatile swarming aircraft network in the world. The company is moving quickly to launch the first aircraft designed specifically for swarming as well as the Command & Control software to mobilize swarms of thousands of heterogenous autonomous assets and empower human operators to achieve superhuman results.  

The team has created and exited multiple startups, negotiated defense deals worth billions of dollars and designed and built 30+ novel aircraft, with aerospace experience from Scaled Composites, SpaceX, Airbus, Archer Aviation, Blue Origin, and Boom Supersonic. 

Role Overview: 

The IT Support & Infrastructure Specialist will be the go-to resource for maintaining IT infrastructure, providing helpdesk support, and ensuring staff have the tools and technology they need to be as efficient as possible. This role requires a hands-on approach to day-to-day operations, focusing on end-user support, infrastructure management, and optimizing cloud and on-premises environments. 

This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious individual to grow with Swarm Aero. You will have the opportunity to shape the IT environment and eventually become the primary IT leader for an expanding office of 50+ people. Key Responsibilities: 

Helpdesk Support & End-User Enablement 

  • Serve as the primary contact for technical support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues. 
  • Provide timely resolution to end-user requests and incidents, ensuring minimal disruption. 
  • Support new user onboarding/offboarding, including account provisioning, peripheral setup, and access management. 
  • Enhance user productivity by managing and improving Office 365, Teams, and SharePoint environments. 
  • Develop and maintain knowledge base articles and technical documentation for common issues. 

 System Administration & Infrastructure Support 

  • Administer Entra ID (Azure AD) and Office 365. 
  • Support cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure). 
  • Manage corporate SaaS applications and device management tools (Intune, JAMF). 
  • Perform health monitoring, updates, and patch management. 
  • Oversee hardware lifecycle, including procurement and decommissioning. 
  • Ensure compliance with data security policies and perform regular backups. 

 Cloud & Security Operations 

  • Implement and maintain security protocols across Azure and Office 365. 
  • Ensure compliance with NIST 800-171, CMMC 2.0, DFARS, ITAR, and CUI data handling policies. 
  • Monitor and optimize cloud environments. 
  • Assist in the deployment and management of containerized applications using Docker. 

 Project & Productivity Tools Support 

  • Support Jira, Confluence, and other productivity platforms. 
  • Deploy and maintain workflows in Microsoft Teams, including adaptive cards and SharePoint automation. 
  • Assist with hardware procurement, device provisioning, and peripheral setup. 
  • Maintain license servers (Cadence, NX, HyperX, Teamcenter). 


Qualifications & Requirements: 

Technical Skills 

  • Identity and Access Management (IAM): Experience in Entra ID (Azure AD) and Office 365. 
  • Cloud Computing: Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS (EC2, EKS, S3). 
  • Initiative: Strong adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies. 

 What Sets You Apart 

  • Familiarity with Docker containerization and AWS-based applications. 
  • Experience with corporate SaaS applications and device management tools (Intune, JAMF). 
  • Experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation. 
  • Managing and maintaining enterprise productivity tools. 
  • Troubleshooting and optimizing cloud-based services. 

 Soft Skills 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently. 
  • Documentation-first mindset with a focus on process improvement. 
  • Adaptability to learn and work with unfamiliar tools and technologies.
