Interaction Designers at IDEXX lead the ideation and design of our user’s experience with IDEXX products through the application of user-centered methodologies. They use their visual and interaction problem solving abilities to deliver world class veterinary products.

Working in a dynamic environment, the IDEXX User Experience team (Design and Research) works on a variety of products-from cloud-based services to native mobile apps; and software ranging from touch-screen analyzer interfaces to digital imaging systems and practice management services. You’ll be part of our cross-functional team – working with business partners, researchers and development teams.

What will you do?

  • Leading interface idea generation, design and prototyping and working with project staff throughout development and testing phases to product completion
  • Developing creative, user-friendly responses to UX issues that arise during development and testing
  • Building prototypes and simulations of user interfaces
  • Producing wireframes, flow diagrams, specifications and other design related documentation including journey maps
  • Participating in user research and observing usability tests
  • Leveraging the IDEXX Design System and working with the design system team to extend and maintain pattern libraries 
  • Advocating for user-centered design processes and UX outcomes
  • Performs other duties as required
  • Adhering to and modeling the IDEXX Purpose & Guiding Principles

What do you need to succeed?

  • Excellent visual, analytical and conceptual problem solving abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to design, prototype and document user interfaces
  • Ability to work well in a multi-team cross-functional environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to recognize patterns in design and user research findings and make practical recommendations for changing UI standards
  • Working knowledge of Figma and other visual design software such as Axure, Balsamiq etc.
  • Familiar with user-centered design philosophy and process
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to bring others along with your work
